Ahh the fall weather is here. Mommy and Daddy took me to Lemos Pumpkin Farm in Half Moon Bay. We went on a haunted train ride and took lots of pictures around pumpkins. Halloween is mommy's favorite time of the year and I have a feeling it'll be mine too! Oh yeah and since the last time I wrote I learned how to crawl (8 months) and stand up. Watch as I dominate this pumpkin with my two hands. I command you to let me use you as a stand.

Mom must think I'm a genius
I'm still trying to master these things called fingers. Picking up little things like Cheerios are a real challenge. Although I may not be gifted in my motor skills yet, you will see that I am gifted in my communications skills. See me respond to my mom.. is it a fluke? I'm only 7 months here. Who knows.. I always keep them guessing.

First Encounter with a Fan
Here is my first encounter with a fan. If I am going to be a super model one day I got to get use to this type of thing. I love the feel of the wind blowing my Saw Gee Mo. Grandma wants to cut my side burns but seeing how she trims the dogs hair (Lucas and Henry) I've got to say no thank you to that.

Do I see a pattern?

I Will Take You Out!

I know I'm small and still learning to sit up, but do I look like a push over? Literally?

A typical day in Cleveland
A typical day looks something like this. I wake mommy and daddy up around 7am. Then mommy brings me downstairs while she fixes breakfast. Sometimes I'll hang out in the kitchen and watch her other times I like to catch up on the news in my bumbo chair. (I can't believe the news about Michael Jackson. From what mommy and daddy say he's the greatest entertainer of all times. ) After that we go for a walk and then I come home for a nap.
I'm also trying solid food. I can't quite control the tongue thing.. or what they call swallowing. Rice cereal is pretty bland. I personally think it looks better on my face then in my tummy don't you?

Living in Cleveland
It's been a long time since I last posted something. I moved back to Cleveland in April. The weather is really nice now with the trees and flowers in full bloom. Here's a quick recap of my time here. This is the back of our house. My room is on the second floor with the little red door. Daddy got a tank of a car because he thought it would be safer for me to ride in.
Bath time is my favorite time of the day. Here I am sporting a mohawk. My hair is slowly growing, but my nickname still remains " Sa Gee Mo" (three strands of hair in Taiwanese).
I call this one my love-hate relationship with my Rainforest Jumperoo. Sometimes I love it and other times it really frustrates me like in this pictures. I am all about multi-tasking but this can be a bit much.. I have to pay attention to the bright lights, then there's lizard in a clear wheel I have to turn every so often. Of course there's the dangling parrot and lizard over my head I must engage with... and don't get me started on the lion that roars every time I move my feet.
Here I am on a walk with mommy. The people in Shaker Heights are really serious about maintaining their yard. Everyone was out that day working on their lawn.
This is what happens when mommy gets too close to me. I'm starting to find I have a lot of power with these little things called fingers. They are kung fu grip strong.

We took a trip to Philly and Lancaster Pennsylvania to revisit some of mom's friends at her old work.
Mom likes to call me Ethel when I wake up in the morning and talk like this. I can't help it if I get a double chin when I get started. Here I am getting ready to express my daily observations.. usually it's about our neighbors or the squirrels in the backyard. Here I was mentioning how unusually friendly it our neighbors are. They brought us banana bread to welcome us. Even a nice old lady with the Shaker Heights welcome committee came over to give us coupons and community organization information.

Official Initiation into the Fob Sister Club
I am officially the youngest member of the fob sister club. Mom's best friends from college came to visit me. They gave me a hello kitty silver pendant with two small diamonds as a new member present.
≈
I wasn't sure what activities this club would require of me but I soon found out there were some activities I did pretty naturally: 1) Lounge and sleep on big bed after a meal 2) Discuss world news, relationships, careers and latest gossip about Octomom. I think I need a little more experience to add value to the conversation but I was happy just learning from the seasoned ones.
So I thought there wouldn't be hazing, but I was wrong. Look here I am wearing aunt Estee's engagement ring. All 4 carats! As you can see I wasn't too happy.. too heavy. But they told me to not settle for less in the future.
Back to California
This is why my nickname is monkey bear. Here I am just chilling during my first plane ride. I have to say it wasn't bad at all. I just ate and slept. Before I knew it, we were in sunny L.A.
I was so excited to meet my cousins. I can't wait until I am big enough to run with them.
Here I am with Grandpa Shu. After weeks of skyping video we met in person.
That weekend I had my welcome home party at my aunt Kelly's house in Windsor. I slept through most of it but was sure to be awake for the red envelops!

Just a little gas...
I am 6 weeks old, growing and life has many surprises for me. For one: gas in the belly. My system is not yet trained in processing all the stuff in milk. Sometimes it wakes me up in middle of the nap and all I can do is cry to get it out. The best part is going in public and doing it with mom. It's funny to watch her turn red as people stare at her.
Here I am with dad. Though you can't hear it, I've let a couple of good ones. :)
Me and Daddy Time
Daddy gets home around 6pm from work. It's usually my nap time so I usually just nap on his chest.

Looking back
In looking back at my time in mommy's womb, I want to share some pictures of my earlier days.
July 2008. I am about 3 months old. I'm beginning to show. All of mommy's friends at Ten Thousand Villages threw a big party for mommy and daddy's engagement. I loved uncle Doug and auntie Barb's backyard.
August 2008. I'm almost 4 months. Here I am with auntie Yvette and uncle Glen at mommy's apartment in Lancaster. We just had a great salmon lunch. Auntie Yvette is also having a baby girl, Isabella. She is older than me by 3 months. I can't wait to play with her in D.C.September 2008. Here I am with Auntie Joyce and Melissa, and Otis at Shupp's Grove in Lancaster Pennsylvania. I am about 6 months old here.
October 2008 Here I am at Auntie Eveyln's house. Mommy is eating one of my favorites, Fage Yogurt. Otis, my favorite dog, likes to poke at me from time to time with his sharp bone. Here he one of his more relaxed days.
I'm about 7 months old here even though you can't see me.
December 2008. Here I am with daddy, uncle Jeremy and Shane in Columbus Ohio. I'm about 8 months here. Mommy and daddy drinking some tea in the next picture.
December 2008. It was a rare 70 degree in Cleveland. Mommy and daddy took me to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens.
One more week to go
I'm still comfortable in my home. Mom's stomach has been squeezing lightly with braxton hicks which means I will be making my grand entrance soon. I love peanut butter and chocolate ice cream, chicken soup, and fizze izzies. Can't wait to meet everyone soon.
